Paul Revere Park Celebrates Grand Opening

The City's newest park, Paul Revere Park (160 West Guinida Lane), opened this past Saturday, Jan. 10 to hundreds of excited community members and families. The new park features a beach volleyball court, playground area, exercise stations, picnic areas and more. The beautiful mural at the park entry is the park's focal point which depicts Paul Revere's midnight ride. The mural was created using drawings from students at nearby Paul Revere Elementary. Solar Energy Incentives

Ponderosa Library Event Celebrates the Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 

On Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Ponderosa Library (240 E. Orangewood Avenue) help celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The authors of White Water will share their experiences of growing up in the south during segregation. White Water is the story of a 7 year-old living in 1963 segregated Alabama. Based on the story of Mr. Bandy's childhood, this story sheds light on segregation through a child's eyes. Learn more.

Neighborhood Council Meetings

Want to become more involved in your neighborhood? Attend your neighborhood council meeting and learn how. Every quarter, the City of Anaheim hosts four neighborhood council meetings in each area of the City to talk about upcoming initiatives and answer community questions. This quarter's meetings will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21, Thursday Jan. 22, Wednesday, Jan. 28 and Thursday, Jan. 29. Two More New Parks on the Way!

In addition to Paul Revere Park, our newest park to open, two more green spaces will be opening in the coming months for community members to enjoy. Black History Parade Returns to Anaheim

On Saturday, Feb.7, visit Downtown Anaheim for the 35th Annual Orange County Black History Parade and Cultural Faire hosted by the Orange County Heritage Council. Water Conservation Is Still Needed!
Even with the recent rainstorms, California still remains in a drought. How can you do your part to help save water? Stop by your local home improvement store and pick up a soil moisture sensor system to connect to your existing irrigation controller, and you may be able to get a rebate.
