In 2007, the City Council adopted the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) to honor the men and women who valiantly serve to protect our great nation. The 13th MEU is one of seven Marine Expeditionary Units in the U.S. Marine Corps, and they support a variety of operations in the Global War on Terrorism. While the Marines are currently deployed, the Anaheim Marine Adoption Committee is seeking gift card donations to help the families at home by providing them with a Thanksgiving dinner.
