USDA Growing Roots in Farm to School Webinar Series: 11-part webinar series that will help you build your farm to schools skills and develop new strategies to bring local foods to the lunchroom. This year you can earn SNA Continuing Education Units for each webinar attended.

Building Leadership and Creating a Culture for Collective Impact: What challenges are you working through in regards to leading your collective impact initiative? When you think about the issues that you are facing now, what comes to mind? Ask about these questions and more in this online forum. (Collective Impact Forum)

Grants, Awards, and Jobs

Voices for Healthy Kids Program: Several different types of grant opportunities addressing six priority areas: smart school foods; healthy drinks; marketing matters; food access; active places; and active kids out of school. (American Heart Association and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation)

Research Grants for Preventing Violence and Violence Related Injury: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention granting to $1.05 million for up to three awards (deadline, 3/16/15).

The Corporation for National and Community Service Social Innovation Fund: Approximately $40 million to eligible grantmaking institutions "seeking to grow innovative, evidence-based solutions to challenges facing low-income communities nationwide in our focus areas of healthy futures, youth development and economic opportunity." Approximately $11 million will be available for the continuation of existing grants. (deadline, 3/17/15)

Grants for Children and Communities: The Office Depot Foundation funds projects and programs in the areas of Giving Children Tools For Success; Building Capacity to Serve Communities; and Disaster Preparedness, Relief, Recovery, and Rebuilding. Grants of $50 to $3000 will be awarded to select applicants (rolling deadline)

The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation is dedicated to planting fruitful trees and plants to alleviate world hunger, combat global warming, strengthen communities, and improve the surrounding air, soil, and water. FTPF programs strategically donate orchards where the harvest will best serve communities for generations, at places such as community gardens, public schools, stat/city parks, low-income neighborhoods, Native American reservations, international hunger relief sites, and animal sanctuaries (rolling deadline)

Grant Writing Institute: Rural Health Grant Writing Specialist Training from National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (Register by 3/26/15)

The MA Association of Community Health Workers is seeking a Director to provide inspiring and productive leadership for this statewide professional organization of community health workers. View job opportunity.
