A Word from Rev. Ellen
Every day we leave our houses with the hope of a day directed by Christ alone. I would like to offer you a prayer that, once memorized - even in part, can be prayed throughout the day to remind us who guides and protects us throughout the day. May this prayer bless you as much as it has blessed me!
Rev. Ellen
"Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me. AMEN!"

1,000 Can Challenge to Benefit CCM's Summer Food Drive
More than one in four children in North Carolina struggle with hunger. During the summer, the struggle for children to find a meal gets even harder, as only one of seven students who receives a free or reduced price lunch during the school year will get lunch on any given summer day. To help combat that issue, Cooperative Christian Ministry will be holding a summer food drive. As part of this food drive, Bethpage Presbyterian Church has elected to participate in the 1,000 Can Challenge, a project being offered to area churches to raise 1,000 cans of food for CCM through their congregations. Canned food items we will be collecting are pork & beans, corn, peas, and green beans. Your food offering may be brought to the church any time through July 31st.
