Expressing Our Condolences
The congregation of Bethpage Presbyterian Church extends its deepest Christian sympathy to Dennis Graybeal and family in the death of his aunt, Leona Graybeal Ingram and to Betty Christy and family in the death of her sister-in-law, Rachel Christy. We join with these families as they celebrate their loved one's life in Christ.

Love Offering for Charlotte Penland
It is with deep regret that on April 20th the Personnel Committee received Charlotte Penland's resignation from Director of Music/Organist for medical reasons. Charlotte has become an integral part of the life and ministry of Bethpage. Her presence and participation of the church cannot be put into words. To show our love and respect, the BPC Session would like to present Charlotte with a love offering and invite the congregation to contribute. Your gifts will be received May 1st through May 15th and may be placed in the offering plate or turned into the church office. Please place your offering in a pew envelope (make checks payable to Bethpage Presbyterian Church) and write "Charlotte's Love Offering" on the memo line.

Pentecost Offering - for Children at Risk, Youth and Young Adults
The Pentecost Offering provides a direct way to meet the needs of children at risk, youth, and young adults. Forty percent of this offering collected at our 9:55 AM worship service on Sunday, May 15th, will be sent to Children's Hope Alliance (formerly known as Barium Springs Home for Children and Grandfather Home for Children.) Since 1891, this organization has been committed to a safe and nurturing family life for every child. The remaining 60 percent will go to the General Assembly to provide leadership development opportunities for Presbyterian youth and young adults and support children-at-risk programs at the national level. NEW Procedure for Placing Flowers in the Church for Worship
Would you like to place flowers in the Bethpage church sanctuary for the Sunday morning worship service? If you would like to commemorate a special occasion in this way, please sign up on the sheet in the hallway between the Sunday school office and the sanctuary AND call Kilby's Florist at 704-933-7955 with your order and any special instructions. Make arrangements directly with Kilby's for payment. Please remember to contact Donna in the church office at least a week before your reserved Sunday, to let her know how you would like your gift of flowers recognized in The Beth Page. If you leave the flowers at the church or allow them to be distributed to our local retirement communities following the worship service, you will be bringing joy to many others AND your gift is tax deductible.
