A Word from Rev. Ellen
It is week three of Lent and we've taken time already to evaluate the destructive habits in our lives with the intention of prayerfully asking God to remove them. This week let's take a look at the positive gifts the Holy Spirit has given us; our spiritual gifts. In chapter 12 of 1 Corinthians, Paul writes, "There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work."
Scripture tells us that our giftedness comes straight from God's Spirit. It is a part of God's plan of redemption for the world. Our gifts then are not our own, but God's. They are not here to serve us but to offer service, as a loving offering of work to God, out of deep gratitude for all that God has done for us in Jesus Christ!!!
What are your spiritual gifts? Most likely they are the things you do that don't feel like work, the things that give you the greatest degree of joy to offer God? If you know what they are, I would love for you to share them with me. If you don't, check out giftstest.com. This website offers a questionnaire that will identify your top five spiritual gifts. It is an easy, first step toward understanding the gifts the Spirit has given to you, for God's purpose and His Kingdom. Enjoy! Rev. Ellen

A Thank You Letter to the Leadership and Members of BPC
Dear Leadership and Members of Bethpage Presbyterian Church,
The members of Kannapolis Area Presbyterian Men want to thank you for your generosity in allowing us the privilege of using the facilities at Bethpage Presbyterian Church for our annual "Boston Butt BBQ." The pavilion is ideal for setting up work tables with the grills outside on the grassy areas. Additionally, on chilly days the fireplace in the pavilion helps keep us warm. We also appreciate the support of Bethpage members who purchase Boston butts from us. This year we were able to contribute $2,300 to CCM's Fuel Assistance Program. Our goal is to serve others in the name of Christ; you help make it possible for us to do just that and we are deeply grateful.
Sincerely, Frank Melton, KAPM Coordinator

NEW Procedure for Placing Flowers in the Church for Worship
Would you like to place flowers in the Bethpage church sanctuary for the Sunday morning worship service? If you would like to commemorate a special occasion in this way, please sign up on the sheet in the hallway between the Sunday school office and the sanctuary AND call Kilby's Florist at 704-933-7955 with your order and any special instructions. Make arrangements directly with Kilby's for payment. Please remember to contact Donna in the church office at least a week before your reserved Sunday, to let her know how you would like your gift of flowers recognized in The Beth Page. If you leave the flowers at the church or allow them to be distributed to our local retirement communities following the worship service, you will be bringing joy to many others AND your gift is tax deductible.
