The flowers in the church sanctuary this Sunday, July 27th are given by Richie and Heather Goodman to the Glory of God and in loving honor of Rick and Connie Goodman's 42nd wedding anniversary on July 29, 2014.  
Expressing Our Condolences
Deepest Sympathy The congregation of Bethpage Presbyterian Church extends its deepest Christian sympathy to Terry Suther and family in the death of his mother, Mary Ellen Suther.  We join with this family as they celebrate their loved one's life in Christ.

Vacation Bible School at BPC - July 28 - 31, 2014

Workshop of Wonders begins this Monday, July 28th and ends on Thursday, July 31st and we need your support.  Last year, we had over 40 children attend VBS and we hope to beat that this year.  The schedule each evening will be --- supper beginning at 5:30, followed by the program starting at 6:15 and ending at 8:00 PM.  To make this a success, we need donations of supplies, or monetary donations if you cannot make it to the store.  We will also need several freezers of homemade ice cream for the last night of VBS to accompany our fire truck visit.  Supplies needed are listed below.  If you have questions, please call Brandi Coley at 704-773-0754.

School Supply Drive During the Month of August

The Mission and Evangelism Ministry Area will be holding a school supply drive for Fred L. Wilson Elementary School during the entire month of August.  The teachers' "wish list" of supplies is:

  3. Gallon and Quart Ziplock Bags
  4. Post-It Notes
  5. Yellow Highlighters
  6. Tissues
  7. Economy Baby Wipes
Coffee Perks - Making Home Health Care Decisions - August 7th

Coffee Perks will be held on Thursday, August 7th, 10:00 until 11:00 AM in the BPC Fellowship Hall.  Susan Wear, Senior Home Health Specialist with Gentiva, will speak on the topic of "Making Home Health Care Decisions."  Susan has been assisting individuals with their home health care decisions and advising them on care options and what to expect.  Having the option of Home Health Care, can be a most beneficial way of recuperating in your own familiar surroundings.  Susan is excited to discuss home health for any unexpected situation you or a loved one may have in the future.  Refreshments will be provided by Comfort Keepers In-home Care.

Pints for Pencils Blood Drive - August 18th

Community Blood Center of the Carolinas and Bethpage Presbyterian Church are having a community blood drive on Monday, August 18th from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in the BPC Fellowship Hall.  CBCC's mission is to be the steward of a community resource; life saving blood.  CBCC collects blood from the community to return it to the community at the lowest possible cost, consistent with the highest standards of quality.  For blood donations during August, CBCC will provide school supplies to your local public school system!
