Cook Inlet RCAC recently had the pleasant task of delivering a $1500 donation to Kenai Peninsula Food Bank Executive Director Linda Swarner. President of the Board of Directors John Williams and Executive Director Mike Munger presented the check on behalf of Harley Marine Services and its subsidiary Olympic Tug & Barge, at a joint Chamber luncheon meeting on June 19. Olympic Tug & Barge will be adding a new tug to its Alaska fleet when the Bob Franco arrives later this year (see story above).  Read more.

Cook Inlet Risk Assessment Update
The Cook Inlet navigational risk assessment advisory team has identified more than two-dozen potential risk reduction options for Cook Inlet, inc  luding encouraging that some efforts already planned or under way should be sustained or expanded.  Preliminary descriptions of this first set of risk reduction options are now publicly available and can be downloaded here.

A second set of risk reduction options, those requiring further consideration and information to support the Advisory Panel's decision-making, will be the focus of study over the coming months.  The second set of risk reductions options is listed in the document linked above.
