|
This year has been an impressive one for BCC, by all accounts, resulting in the highest number of research projects under commercial management to date. And that's not all: more companies than ever before have gone through the accelerator programme and more than a million dollars of equity has been raised.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Innovate judge Larry Ellison on his successful exit of Rural Fuel.
The Horowhenua-based Rural Fuel was founded by Larry and his wife Jane in 1998 and, in November, was bought by BP New Zealand, which has owned 49 percent of the company since 2007.
Rural Fuel, which delivers fuel, oil and lubricants to the rural sector, was named Supreme Business of the Year at the 2011 Westpac Manawatu Business Awards. BP announced plans to keep its head office - and all staff - in Palmerston North.

Who's Behind Our Newsletter?
|
The first and most famous social entrepreneur of all, Santa Claus! This guy has business figured out. He launched his enterprise with global aspirations and worked through distribution channels like no other. He built the right factory for his needs and didn't waste time and money changing addresses a million times. He takes listening to the customer to the very highest level and creates jobs for hoards of hard workers. He's a leader who never puts up with bullying and finds perfect jobs for staff who have special (and typically under appreciated) talents. He is a list maker and a stickler for details but also knows that even when things get really busy, a happy workplace is a productive workplace. On top of all that, he's managed to have a long and happy relationship and not worry about the latest diet fads.
