Spotlight on Math
During the 2015-2016 school year, math classrooms in the Wayne Township Public Schools will be implementing the enVision 2.0 Math program. This implementation in kindergarten through sixth grades has been welcomed by the students, parents, and teachers. Over the summer, new textbooks, resources, and math manipulatives have arrived in buildings to support this implementation.
Teachers began to prepare for the implementation in June with a full day of professional development, and another half-day professional development before the start of school in September. During these professional development sessions, teachers learned about the program components, hands-on math activities, and the lessons in the first two chapters of the textbook.
Throughout the 2015-2016 school year, teachers will attend monthly professional development sessions until January and conclude with a follow-up session in June to reflect and plan for the second year of implementation.

New & Fun: Math Homework App
During back to school nights, parents will learn about enVision 2.0 Math and the Bounce Pages App designed to support homework.
With this app, students and parents can use their cell phones or tablets to scan a homework page. The app then reads the homework page and links to an instructional video.
