Drug Forum Invitation from Mayor Christopher P. Vergano to Parents of Middle and High School Students:
Superintendent of Schools, Raymond A. Gonzalez, and I are proud to be sponsoring the second "Wayne Community Forum on Teen Drug Use".
This event is specifically designed to provide parents of Middle and High School students with updated information about the most current drug trends including heroin and prescription drug abuse in our community. Superintendent Gonzalez and I believe that effective communication and education can help our community to overcome this most challenging issue. For that reason, we strongly encourage you to attend this very important event.
Additionally, many parents have asked us to provide them with an update from our October forum, and this event will offer an update on latest trends and events.
The "Wayne Community Forum on Drug Use" will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014, from 7pm-9pm at the Wayne Valley High School Auditorium. Presentations concerning drug use in our community will be made by:
- Wayne Township Police Department
- Wayne Township Public Schools
- Passaic County Prosecutor's Office
- The Honorable Rudolph A. Filko, Judge of the New Jersey Superior Court
- A Wayne parent permanently impacted by this crisis
Additionally, because we believe that your input is vital to the success of this program, there will be a question and answer period immediately following the presentations. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, June 3rd!

Wayne Valley & Wayne Hills 3rd Annual Auto Show
Wednesday, June 11th, 5-9 p.m. at Wayne Valley HS
Display your Vehicle: American, Muscle or Import - All are Welcome!
Last year's event was a huge success with over 250 vehicles on display and over 400 people in attendance. So come out and support our Automotive Technology students, participate in the activities, and enjoy their demonstrations.
There will be give-aways, music, and food for purchase.
