2014-15 Budget Input Survey Summary
This fall, the Board of Education, through their standing committees, devised questions designed to gather feedback from the community regarding key areas of interest. Those questions served as the basis for a community survey intended to help inform the development of the school district budget for the 2014-15 school year. As of today, we received 474 responses, the results of which are presented in this executive summary.
The first part of the survey posed a variety of closed-ended questions that asked respondents to rate a list of statements on a scale of 1 (Not important) to 5 (Very important). Three additional questions were asked that solicited feedback regarding issues related to expanding the provision of healthcare benefits to long substitute teachers who currently do not qualify for them, studying the feasibility to implement full day kindergarten, and the willingness of parents to allow their children to bring their own technology to school for use in the classroom.
