PARCC Pilot Update
Next year, 2015, New Jersey public schools will be transitioning to a new statewide assessment as part of a consortium of nineteen states called the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC). As a member state of PARCC, our educators are helping to develop next-generation, computer-based tests in math, reading, and writing that are of exceptional quality and will measure students' content knowledge and key skills.

Budget Development Update
The Preliminary Budget was adopted at the February 27, 2014 Board meeting. Click here to download a copy of the presentation made that night. In this presentation we've included historical state aid figures as well as the history of the general fund tax levy in Wayne. The presentation also includes information about the other governmental funds that make up the total preliminary budget: Special Revenue and Debt Service.
Once again, the Board is committed to reducing the preliminary budget to below the 2% hard cap allowable under the law before the final budget is adopted at the end of April.
