Budget Update
At the February 20 Special Public Meeting of the Board of Education, the administration presented the preliminary budget to be submitted to the county for review.

Please note that the preliminary budget does not represent the final fiscal decisions for the 2014-15 school year. Rather, it represents a statutory obligation to adopt a preliminary budget for the purpose of submitting it to the County Office of the Department of Education for their review.
The Board of Education is committed to work with the Administration to ensure that the preliminary budget is reduced to no more than a 2% tax levy increase when the final budget is adopted. More work will take place over the next couple of months to finalize all the budgetary decisions.

Sportsmanship by Example
Interscholastics sports programs play an important role in the high school experience for hundreds of our student athletes in Wayne each year. The opportunities to participate in such experiences promote health, wellness, discipline, teamwork, leadership, respect, and other core values that can lead to success in and out of the classroom. We maintain high expectations of all student athletes and coaches to exhibit behaviors that reflect positively on the team, school and school district.
However, each game, match, or competition also brings spectators who come out to support our student athletes and sports programs. Please consider all the ways that you contribute to the positive sports culture in our high schools.
