School Violence Awareness WeekSchool Violence Awareness Week

Since 2003, New Jersey statute requires that all schools and districts observe School Violence Awareness Week during the week beginning with the third Monday in October. The annual observance this year will take place October 21 - 25 and builds upon the Week of Respect by providing more opportunities for our students to engage in developmentally appropriate discussion and activities to promote issues of safety, diversity, tolerance, and conflict resolution.

Beginning the school year with our Weeks of Respect and School Violence Awareness emphasizes important themes that we want permeating our schools throughout the entire year. Media reports around the nation remind us of the importance of remaining ever vigilant in our efforts to maintain safe and secure schools. That is why in Wayne Township Public Schools we have established procedures and protocols to guide our work when addressing everything from incidents of Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying to specific safety and security drills. Operation Take Back

Wayne Schools- Operation Take Back On Saturday, October 26th, 2013 the Wayne Police Department in conjunction with the D.E.A. will be holding "Operation Take Back".

This semi-annual event will take place in the lobby of Wayne Police headquarters between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
