St. Stephen's will offer its biannual Holiday Gift Fair, featuring St. Stephen's creative members on Sunday,November 20th.

If you would like to participate please contact Virginia Doyle at [email protected] ASAP.  We would especially welcome vendors with original crafts, baked or canned items, new books, floral arrangements, decorated food plates for Thanksgiving, and other items that would make nice holiday gifts.  If you would like to bring one item for the donation table, please notify Ginny as well.

Did you enjoy the Camp Create exhibit in the hallway during this month of August?  A portion of the proceeds from the upcoming Holiday Gift Fair benefits this amazing arts camp.  If you would lie to attend this "no door charge" event it will take place after the Sunday services on November 20th.  Hours are 8:30am to 2:30pm.

Children and Youth in Church this Sunday Swallowtail
28 August

Please bring your children and youth to church this Sunday to gather together in worship and experience Father Ellsworth as St. Stephen's new rector.
Father EllsworthThe Rev. Phillip C. Ellsworth, Jr.

Come celebrate the new ministry of Father Ellsworth.  Fill the church and meet your new rector.  This will be Father Ellsworth's second Sunday at Stephen's.

Father Phil Ellsworth joins St. Stephen's as our 8th rector. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Yale University, a Diploma in Anglican Studies from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, and an M.A. and B.A. from Wheaton College.  He has previously served as Associate Rector at St. Bartholomew's Church in New York City, and more recently as Associate Rector at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Potomac, Maryland.

His wife Victoria is a teacher, and was the founding director of the Middle School String Orchestra at Norwood School in Bethesda, Maryland.  She is the daughter of medical missionaries, and was born in Brussels, Belgium, and raised in the Belgian Congo.

They have four grown children: Evan (an investment banker living with his wife in Los Angeles), Gabriel (a research associate at Harvard Business School), Gillian (a teacher living with her husband in Durham, N.C.), and Aaron (a college student who is moving to Phoenix). And most importantly, as of this April they have their first grandchild, Jack, living in Los Angeles.

30 September

Lois Cannady, with the help of Ginny Doyle, is in the process of planning upcoming Anasazi luncheons.  Even though these luncheons are geared toward activities for Seniors, all parishioners are always welcome to attend.  Most luncheons begin with a presentation at 11am followed by a delicious repast prepared by Lois and her helpers. You can easily RSVP via the link provided in the Tidings announcements as we get closer to each event and the amazing lunches are only $5 per person.

Save the date for September 30th! The Jennings will talk about their amazing Pilgrimage through Spain.
