One of the most popular requests MOROF receives is about staffing issues.  Medical facilities are in need of a better way to find quality staff. While the conventional ways of finding applicants work most of the time, they can be expensive and limited. The cost is almost always paid by the provider and if the employee does not work out the provider has to pay again to begin the tedious process.

Medical Center Construction & Relocation
LOCATE, NEGOTIATE & CLOSE
Where a medical practice should locate is a decision considering many factors; patient and insurance provider life demographic, importance of nearby medical referrals, competitor locations, patient travel, parking and handicap access and last but never least, proximity to the homes of the doctor and employees. A location choice is a weighted balancing act considering those issues important to a specific practice, and they aren't always the same for every location even with the same provider. Determining the factors driving the decision are mandatory before a physical search begins. Finding available options is the easy part.

Collections should not be thought of as something that only happens on the backend of the billing process. It should start by properly conveying your policies and expectations in advance to both patients and staff.

Here are some tips you can implement in your practice to improve your patient collections at little or no cost.

If you are an established practice chances are you will not see all of your active patients by the deadline. The only way to be totally compliant is to mail each patient the revised policies and show proof of mailing. Cartoon-Patient Satisfaction Survey
 __________________________________________________________

The room was full of pregnant women with their husbands.

The instructor said, "Ladies, remember that exercise is good for you. Walking is especially beneficial. It strengthens the pelvic muscles and will make delivery that much easier. Just pace yourself, make plenty of stops and try to stay on a soft surface like grass or a path."

"Gentlemen, remember -- you're in this together; it wouldn't hurt you to go walking with her.  In fact, that shared experience would be good for you both."

The room suddenly became very quiet as the men absorbed this information. After a few moments a man, name unknown, at the back of the room, slowly raised his hand.

"Yes?" said the instructor.

"I was just wondering if it would be all right if she carries a golf bag while we walk."
