One of the most popular requests MOROF receives is about staffing issues.  Medical facilities are in need of a better way to find quality staff. While the conventional ways of finding applicants work most of the time, they can be expensive and limited. The cost is almost always paid by the provider and if the employee does not work out the provider has to pay again to begin the tedious process.

Consumers should protect themselves against online identity theft and other scams that increase during--and after--the filing season. You are not alone. Practically every healthcare provider out there is facing issues with patients paying late or not at all. Patients expect prompt and professional treatment but when it comes to paying for it that can be a different story. The trend is for patient responsibility to increase dramatically.

Unpaid accounts can have a tremendous impact on the practice cash flow. It is important to have a clearly defined, diplomatic payment policy that is communicated to the patient and understood by the front desk staff.

Medicare is a mystery surpassed only by the United States tax code, (and now the Affordable Care Act). I will try to break it down into simple terms and programs to make it easier to understand. Many people are paying extra penalties each month for the rest of their lives because they were not properly informed how the programs work.

While the patient sign-in sheet is used at the front desks of most clinicians' offices, many doctors do not have a clear understanding of its legal importance. Contrary to what the lay public may believe, it is not just used to track a patient's arrival.

The patient sign-in sheet protects the doctor. This important document proves the patient was in the office on a particular date. This is necessary to avoid any question of fraud from insurance companies, including Medicare and state programs, such as Medicaid.

Mobile medical computing by physicians is growing, and will have a profound impact on the healthcare industry. Over 10,000 medical apps were published for iOS devices by early 2012. And that number is expected to grow by 40% by the end of 2012. With all these options it can be a daunting and time consuming task to find the right one that fits your needs. So here are a few attributes to look for that might make the job a little easier.

promotionalMedical Promotional Products Give Your Practice a Competitive Edge

As competition ticks up in the health-care market, hospitals and health organizations are seeking ways to differentiate themselves, with health-oriented promotional products playing a key role.

Last year alone, the industry spent over $335 million on advertising across print, TV, radio and outdoor per the Nielsen Company. The health-care market is also the number one revenue generator for ad specialty distributors, as it accounts for about 15% of overall distributor sales.
