Discover Destiny

If you are interested in becoming a covenant member, or would like to learn more about DCC, sign up for this 3-week class by calling the church office at 352-472-3284. The first session begins with lunch following the 11:00am Worship Service on May 5 in the DCC Student Center. The following two sessions will be held during the 9:30am service on May 12 and 19 in the DCC Student Center.
Senior Honor Day

Join us as we honor our graduating seniors during the 11:00am service on Sunday, May 19. We will be serving the graduating seniors and their immediate family lunch following the service. If you are a graduating senior, please RSVP by calling 352-472-3284 by May 15th.

It's easy to spot a fake, right? Someone pretending to be something they're not. But what about the faker in the mirror? Are we even aware of how often we betray who we really are in Christ? Axis Mother's Day Rose Sale

Axis Drama Co. will be selling roses for Mother's Day to raise money for national teen talent. Orders must be turned in by May 5. A single rose is $5, a half dozen is $25 and a dozen is $45.

Ichetucknee Tubing Trip
Saturday, June 1
Don't miss the Axis Ichetucknee Tubing Trip on June 1. We will leave the church at 8:00am and the cost is $10 per person. There will be a sign up sheet in Axis to ensure we have enough transportation, so be sure to sign up and bring your money on Wednesday, May 29.

Play It Cool: Trust It's Worth the Wait
May in Destiny Kids and Blitz
Patience is waiting until later for what you want now. When having patience seems too difficult, the Lord gives strength to wait. We trust that what we're waiting for is best for us. The monthly memory verse is: "Wait for the Lord. Be strong and don't lose hope. Wait for the Lord." Psalm 27:14. Destiny Kids is offered Sundays during our Morning Worship Services in the DCC Student Center and Wednesdays at 7:00pm in the OVMS Gymnasium.

The Great Shakeup
May in Lil' Sproutz and Lil' K
This month, we are sharing four stories from the Bible where someone used their hands to help others. Preschoolers will learn how everyone helped each other in the early church. Lil' K and Lil' Sproutz are offered Sunday Mornings during our worship services and Wednesday nights at 7:00pm.

All young adults are invited to this discussion based Bible study led by Pastor Andrew at 6:30pm in the DCC Student Center. We will go out to eat at Red Robin after the Bible study.
Vacation Bible School Supply Day/Dessert Auction
Sunday, June 2
On Sunday, June 2, we will be presenting two different opportunities to donate to this year's VBS. During the 9:30am service on June 2, we will announce the supplies that we need for VBS so people can volunteer to bring them. Then, after the 11:00am service, we will have our annual dessert auction. Everyone from the first service is welcome to bake for the dessert auction or come back to purchase desserts if they choose.
Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is quickly approaching and we will need your help to make it possible. The theme this year is God's Backyard Bible Camp. It will take place nightly from 6:00-9:00pm. Contact Josh Bryant at 352-472-3284 if you can help.

Watermelon Festival
Saturday, May 18 We will have a booth at the watermelon festival handing out water and info about DCC. We need all of the help we can get, and there will be four shifts to choose from. Covenant Membership Sunday, May 26 If you have completed the Discover Destiny class and would like to become a Covenant Member, please contact the church office at 352-472-3284. We will be taking in Covenant Members during the 11:00am service.
