We have just entered
into an exciting partnership  with our local
Family Christian Bookstore!

When you make a purchase, let them know you would like Ministry Builder stickers. You get one for every $5 you spend! Bring them to our office or mail them in, and we earn store credit for materials we need for Bible studies, parenting classes and also Toddler Bibles that we provide to every newborn baby! How cool is that?!!

Did you know that 1 in 3 women
have had an abortion?

If you've had an abortion, we offer abortion healing counseling led by a woman who has been in your shoes. This is Christ-centered healing that will allow you to fully embrace the forgiveness only He has to offer. Classes are forming now for January. Call us for more information.

DID YOU KNOW---that when we remodeled our new clinic space last year, we wrote blessings, scripture and prayers on the subfloor before the new carpet squares were installed? Volunteers, board members and staff did this so that every man, woman and child that walk through our doors are greeted with the prayers that were laid down on that special day.

Greetings!

As we near Thanksgiving, we want to recognize that your partnership makes it possible to save and change the lives of hundreds of families in our community this year. We are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to partner with you!

Our services are growing because of your partnership. This month we've added additional parenting classes to serve the newly pregnant women coming to see us, which means we have six classes actively participating. We've also just started a session of post-abortion healing classes for several women to find the Christ-centered healing they are craving. Additionally, we've expanded our clinic hours to include 3 days and 1 evening per week, along with 1 Saturday per month to meet appointment demands. We have a newly formed marketing committee that has formed to develop a marketing campaign for 2016 to reach the women in our area who desperately need our unique services, so expect continued growth as we enter 2016!

We're also looking for creative ways to spread the word about our organization and provide funding for our unique services. Be sure to check out our new Life Cards program that begins today.
If you've been looking for a creative way to bless someone during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, THIS IS IT!

Your participation with our Life Cards program kick-starts our efforts for 2016 across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas, to give HOPE and LIFE to more women and babies than ever before! We hope you'll join us in this endeavor!

Thanks for taking a stand for life,

The Samaritan
and the Innkeeper

If a person chooses to volunteer at the St. Joseph PRC, and they have a desire to work with young women, they will fall into one of two categories:  Samaritan or Innkeeper. Using the story of the Good Samaritan (told by Jesus in Luke 10:30-37) as a model, the Samaritan volunteers in the Clinic and gives a woman in crisis what she needs (information) to move forward; the Innkeeper will take on the role of teacher/nurturer. The Samaritan will probably never develop a relationship with the young woman, but that's not her role. On the other hand, the Innkeeper will have an opportunity to connect heart-to-heart with this same woman.

After a year of being the Samaritan, Pat Reed, a PRC volunteer, decided to switch to Innkeeper. Pat originally came to the PRC to become a patient advocate. She was very devoted to making sure women in a crisis pregnancy felt like the Center was a safe place for them, a place where there was no judgment or condemnation. Pat would diligently provide women with the information they needed to move on with their next step. Many times during the spiritual discussion, Pat would pray with the women she was leading through the appointment. One day, Pat spoke honestly about what was on her heart, "I just wish I had more time with these women."

Knowing that the parenting classes were in search of teachers, a staff person questioned further, "Do you think you might like to go through the teachers' training? Teachers have much more opportunity to really build a relationship with these girls." This piqued Pat's interest. "I think I might like to do that." It is the goal of staff members to match up volunteers with their passions. It turns out Pat has a real gift and passion for the parenting classes. All you have to do is ask her how the parenting classes are going, and she beams! She loves being able to pour the love of Christ into their lives on a weekly basis!

Pat is now an Innkeeper (teacher) every Tuesday night, and while she enjoyed her time as a patient advocate, she tells everyone that now she "feels like she's home." By the time she wakes up on Wednesday morning, she is already looking forward to the next class the following week, and she refers to the women in her class as "family." You can imagine the impact she and her co-teacher, Eleanor Dobbs, are having on the women in their class, but Pat will tell you,
"I am the one who is truly blessed."

We are currently operating at an 84% success rate with the girls we see turning from abortion and choosing LIFE!!!

This year, the PRC is on track to successfully reach and turn the hearts of over 200, which translates to over 200 babies saved! These numbers include women who come into our center wanting an abortion and those who are vulnerable to abortion due to risk factors. Thank you for supporting our efforts to reach these women.
