At Peace and Good.
When God created the earth He saw everything He had made and it was Good.
All was at peace, every living thing was at peace with each other. God walked each day in the garden with Adam and Eve.
Even though God knew the coming storm of evil He did not let it interfere with the peace and good that was in the Garden.
Before the foundation of the earth it was determined that Jesus would die on the cross for our sins. Yet! At the time ordained the virgin Mary and Elizabeth were filled with joy and praise. In a world full of sin and religion gone astray the glorious good news of Jesus birth was announced by the Angel 'I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be for all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign to you: you will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger."
And suddenly there was with the Angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"
In a totally pagan world full of evil the heavens thundered with Peace and Good!
After the suffering and passion of Jesus and the cross and resurrection came glorious news! This news is for us today also. Please read Matthew 28th chapter slowly. Pause at theses points:
Angel: "Do not be afraid...you seek Jesus who was crucified...He is not here; for He is risen! Go quickly and tell..."
Jesus: "Rejoice...Go!"
Jesus: "All power has been given to Me in heaven and on earth...Go...make disciples of all nations...I am with you Always!"
Before the cross Jesus could see beyond the cross "Looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of faith, 'Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews12:2
The book of Acts is full of suffering and glory. Death and Life! And the conversion of the lost in vast numbers. The believers in Jesus went everywhere sharing the saving message of the shed Blood of Jesus, now alive and powerful to save! With joy unspeakable they died in such glory that the killers were converted to Jesus and the church prospered even during persecution.
Jesus said "I establish my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it"
Do not let the news of world happenings cause you to fear or lose your peace and seeing the good. Rest in the Lord.
The world is hungry for Jesus. As I carry the cross the eagerness of people to talk and pray and come to Jesus is astounding for America. Oh, it's glorious. It's the same the world over.
We have been filming and editing "The Cross Museum" and Denise and I have rejoiced and cried at the things we have seen and experienced on the roads of the world. We know what we are talking about.
Arise! Be filled with the Fire of the Holy Spirit. Live in the Power of Jesus for the Glory of God and share the message of salvation with the next person you meet and with the world!
