The Greatest time of Opportunity is Now!

For a moment I invite you to focus on the good news in our world today!

Here is a world view from a person that has walked over forty thousand miles carrying a twelve foot cross in every nation and major island group in the world.

There are more people being saved and converted to Jesus at this time than anytime in history! There are more churches, preaching points, Christian home groups, homeless ministries, hospitals, medical clinics, dental clinics, water wells, home building for the poor, aid groups, battered womens groups, seniors ministries, jail and prison ministries, adoption services, orphanages, religious and human rights groups, pro-life groups, sports ministries, youth movements, large scale Christian meetings, Bible schools, Christian colleges, seminaries, children ministries, church buildings, with more people attending churches, womens and mens groups than ever in the history of the world!

There are more Bibles in print, Christian books and music and Bible studies than ever. Now look at the world of sharing the message of Jesus. There are tens of thousands of churches and ministries broadcasting on TV, the Internet, mobile phones and tablets. There are radio and TV networks broadcasting to the entire world along with the other services like Internet. The Gospel of Jesus is going forth by all these means plus millions of cd's and dvd's with teaching, preaching and movies.

Homes with all this modern technology can be an international evangelism and mission base. You can write books and publish them free. You can sing your songs on the Internet to millions. You can twitter to the world. Just think of the early followers of Jesus and the early church with a witness limited to personally sharing Jesus and a little bit of writing. Yet how awesome they were.

Another thing to consider is that in the early church and the missionary movement of the past few hundred years it took weeks or months on perilous seas to go to distant lands. Or it took long periods of time walking or on horseback etc on land to go share Jesus in other lands. Now days it takes only a second or so to send a message to the other side of the world. You can take air flights and be in some of the most remote places on earth in a few days.

Two great things to consider is that today it is impossible for nations to completely close out the Gospel in every form from coming into their nations. There are now no 'closed' nations. There is always a way to get in! There is only one letter's difference between no and go! The question is not if but how we are to share the message of Jesus.

The second point is that people are hungry and eager to hear the message of Jesus. If people of all nations, religions, races and cultures were not welcoming to a twelve foot cross and me and my wife and children we would be dead. Jesus gave favor. We had only one thing to give and that was hope, love, peace and Jesus!

I am almost 72 years old and for me it is that people are so eager to know Jesus, repent and receive Him as Savior and Lord. I have led people to Jesus in Antarctica, in remote jungle villages, in fifty four nations at war, in mountain villages and the major cities of the world. I've walked in the battlefields of Belfast with Billy Graham, prayed with Yasser Arafat twice during the war in Beirut, slept in Prime Ministers Begin's house in Israel, was given the Sinai peace medal at the presidential palace in Egypt. My wife Denise and I carried the cross in Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, etc openly. I have had followers of Jesus come to the cross in places many mission groups don't think there are any followers of Jesus. I can tell you there are Bible home groups in every so called closed nation in the world. I've preached at Westminster Chapel, Lakewood Church and Catholic Cathedrals. I've preached on stage at rock festivals, in nightclubs, and terrorist areas. I've been with royalty and some of the most famous movie stars, politicians, sports stars, etc. I've shared Jesus with some of the richest people and the poorest people on earth.

Sharing one to one or in huge crowds I find people willing to listen to the message I'm sharing about the cross and Jesus. I must confess I find is so easy to share Jesus and so many come directly to Jesus on the spot. Almost every day I get letters, phone calls, or e mail from people I led to Jesus decades ago and they are still following Jesus with many now preachers, missionaries etc.

The walls many Christians talk about are in their hearts and minds. My call is to help focus peoples minds from all the almost hopeless view of the world and begin to see through the eyes of Jesus, "Do you not say, 'four months and then comes the harvest, look, I say, open your eyes and look at the fields ripe for harvest." (John 4:35) Then (Jesus) said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. Ask the Lord of harvest to send forth laborers into His harvest" (Matt. 8:37,38)

Look at the world again. We are in revival. We are living in the greatest harvest time for souls in history. There is joy in heaven over one sinner that repents...this being true from the mouth of Jesus then with the amount of people being saved in every time zone in the world there must be constant rejoicing in heaven with the angels that has ever been in all of world history. What rejoicing there is in heaven! How about joining in on the joy. This is our time chosen by God for us to live in. The Gospel is going forth to all the world. "Let everything that hath breath, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord"(Psalm 150:6)

How beautiful it must be in the eyes of God to see people being saved all over His earth. People reading the Bibles, loving others, serving, sharing the message of Jesus. "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14) Were every person saved and following Jesus a bright light the earth would glow in brilliant Glory!

I close with this message from Philippians 4:4-8

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not have anxiety about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if anything is excellent or praise worthy, think on these things."

Living in this world open to witness in so many forms and ways, what will your response be to the call of Jesus to go into all the world and preach (share) Jesus with everyone? In this day and age technology and opportunity is limitless so your only limit is your imagination. Do something radical for and about Jesus...NOW!

Will be Saturday December 15th 2012. Come join us from all across America or the world at "Hollywood and Vine". I'll give you more info about the witness and then a rally following the walk with the cross. If you've ever wanted to walk with the cross, this is it. I first led people to Jesus at that junction in 1967! Bring a smile, love, Bible & share Jesus with thousands of others then be a part of a huge Jesus Rally in Hollywood. Just like the 'ole days'.
