A Message from Arthur
Cross Glory in Las Vegas
People were coming to the cross, smiling and others weeping as we carried it through the heart of Las V egas, Nevada along "The Fremont Experience". Among all the flashing lights, music, shows and the ringing of slot machines people prayed and received Jesus. Beautiful followers of Jesus from Abundant Grace Church and pastor Rob Wright, seven pastors from different churches and hundreds of believers shared Jesus as we went through and back again in that wild city center. "Not One" bad word was spoken to me nor did I hear anyone shout against the cross or us. The thousands of people down there were friendly, eager to hear and welcoming. They were hungry for something more than Las Vegas could fulfill...Jesus!
One young lady dancer saw the me with the cross, she leaped off the stage where she was dancing and ran u p to me and hugged me. She said she had got the cross movie and now she was showing it to other casino workers and dancers and many were coming to Jesus. She said it's bringing revival to Vegas. We prayed together and then she had to get back on stage. The last I saw of her she was still waving goodbye with a huge smile. Denise al so carried the cross through the crowds of people. Security guards prayed with us, tourists, casino workers, entertainers and crowds of young people and even families had me lay hands on their children and bless them. The Abundant Grace Church showed the movie "The Cross" on Thursday night before the Saturday walk and 250 people saw the movie with 5 young people receiving Jesus.
I can tell you people there are hungry, eager, kind, searching and open to the message of Jesus. I know thousands of you were praying for us and you were a vital part of this mission. Satan and all the demons did not want this to happen but the Holy Spirit and the Power of Jesus bound him. Thanks for the prayer and support in sending us on.
The cross is still making waves! We have done several more walks in Denver and people are stopping their cars and rushing to the cross weeping. Waiters and waitresses are praying in restaurants, people in stores and gas stations are coming to Jesus. What a mighty outbreak of the Holy Spirit everywhere we are going.
The TBN 'Praise the Lord' program that I hosted in February was simply awesome and powerful with sound teaching and the power of the Holy Spirit. I preached on "What is the Gospel?" The Glory of God was all over those two hours of witness.
A lady e-mailed me her testimony of the cross walk in Las Vegas. "I watched my Little boy follow Jesus on that walk. I saw him being used by God, struggles and all. T alking to strangers, walking up to people who would have walked right passed us. Sharing Jesus, inviting them to church. and loving them. God gave me a vision that weekend for my son... I saw him walking toward the cross, following Jesus... as he left those addictions behind. What an awesome God we serve!" My baby girl was walking with us and we would often get behind or too far ahead. From the beginning, she took it upon herself to be the one to 'keep her eyes on the cross'. She would ask "Mom, where's the cross? Where's the big cross?" What a great lesson for my 7-year-old. I told her how proud I was of her for always looking for the cross, always knowing where we were supposed to go... so we didn't get lost. I shared with her that this is how we should live our lives. We should always be looking to Jesus. We should always look to see where He is leading us... and follow after Him so we don't lose our way. As I listened to Arthur speak Sunday night at our church, one thing touched me in a way that will never leave me...He said when people say things like "Brother Arthur, you have such great faith, I wish I had the kind of faith you have." or "It must take great faith to go into all these places."... He tells them... he doesn't go because he has great faith...he goes because he loves Jesus. "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV).
