While driving in the car the other day Sophia, who is six, asked Denise "What is hell like Mama?" Denise began to tell her and both she and Sophia began to cry at the horror of what awaits the lost.  As Denise relayed the story, she shared how she saw a picture in her mind of how carrying the cross is like waving a flag in the road, warning people that there is a great crater in the road ahead and they are heading straight for it.  They reach a stop sign and now it's too late! They plunge into the dark pit of eternal hell that Jesus describes as weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. "Endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry" 2 Timothy 4:5. "And He gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, so that the body of Christ should be built up" Ephesians 4:12.  I was saved at 7 years old, led my first person to Jesus the next day and have been leading people to Jesus ever since.  Jesus called me to be an evangelist at age 15 and I've done nothing else in my life.  Now at 70 I'm still an evangelist sharing Jesus with more people than ever before.  All glory to God. This ministry to all the world is about obeying Jesus and seeing people saved, converted, born again whatever term you use, I will be doing this as long as I live.  A traveling evangelist led me to Jesus in a parking lot.  Denise was led to Jesus in a park by an African couple.  We are both products of outreach evangelism.  Everything we do is focused on leading people to Jesus, training people how to share Christ with others that they may be saved.  We still carry the cross and Denise has been on 'every' cross walk for over 20 years and Sophia on every cross walk in the last 6 years. The work of an evangelist is a necessary part of the Body of Christ. Every believer is to be a witness and share Jesus.

I would like this letter to become a prayer and evangelism connection.  Let's make this a place where you can share with us (via e--mail) your prayer needs for yourself, loved ones, you can let us know names of unsaved family & friends so we can join together in prayer and also to use our website as a resource so that we can effectively share Jesus in the world around us. I host many TBN tv 'Praise' 2 hour programs, preaching at the close of these programs.  While interviewing I keep the focus on souls, witness, salvation and discipleship.  Our half hour TBN program 'The Message of the Cross' is about how to share Jesus and is aired Tuesdays @ 7pm EST.  We had 4 overseas crosswalks last year with many more in the US, plus numerous preaching and outreach meetings.  We have some very exciting overseas and domestic crosswalks planned for this year. Next month we'll be doing an historic cross walk and witness with hundreds of other believers right here in America.  We'll share details of that in our next e-letter.
Last month was our first e-letter and so many of you personally e-mailed Denise and I.  We were thrilled to hear from those who e-mailed us!  I replied to every one and we are praying for each prayer request.  Please continue to send requests for healing, blessings, for your lost family and friends.  We lift you up in prayer for your jobs, home, health and any need that you may have.  This e-letter is personally written by Denise and me.  You are in contact with us and not a secretary or anyone else.  This is so like us carrying the cross down the road, you see us, come out to meet us, we talk and share about Jesus, we then pray together around the cross.  Often people have us in their homes and we develop a bond unchanged by many years.  We have some supporters that have prayed and helped send us around the world that I've known since I was in college, preaching, and doing outreach long before I even started carrying the cross! I will be speaking to the staff at the chapel of the International Bible Society now called 'Biblios' and home of Authentic Books publishers who published our latest book 'The Cross'.

Sophia was terribly excited seeing the New York ball drop and bring in the New Year.  I thought about what joys and challenges we may face this forthcoming year. Sophia started school a few days ago and said "Mama, you'll miss me while I'm at school won't you?" I said "Absolutely!". She then said, "Now you won't be alone Mama, as God is with you, Jesus is with you and the Holy Spirit is with you!". How true! Whatever any of us may face this year, remember that Jesus never leaves us or forsakes us, He is with us always, even to the end of the age - how exciting and liberating! One song I love to listen to on my ipod is by Graham Kendrick, who explains he was inspired to write it about a friend who whenever he experienced either great joy or tragedy his response was always the same, he would say "For this I have Jesus".  Have a very blessed and wonderful 2011 and that "whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God". 1 Corinthians 10:31.  Love Denise & Sophia.
