POAH receives innovation award for tax credit donation legislation in Massachusetts
POAH has received an innovation award for supporting legislation creating a new "affordable housing donation tax credit" for Massachusetts. The tax credit would use a portion of the existing state housing credit to encourage the donation of existing housing to nonprofits who agree to preserve it as affordable for the long-term. 

POAH receives funding for two Chicago developments

Trianon lofts, POAH's first market-rate building in the city and Woodlawn Station, a mixed-use, transit-oriented development that will offer 70 apartments and ground level retail space, received city and state support.  Woodlawn Station (right) received 9% tax credits from the Illinois Housing Development Authority. Renew Woodlawn offers Chicago residents a chance at home ownership

DHCD announces preservation stabilization grants at Tribune Apartments
Massachusetts Lt. Governor Karyn Polito and Chrystal Kornegay, Undersecretary, Department of Housing and Community Development announced 10 supportive housing awards at a ceremony at POAH's Tribune Apts in Framingham, MA.
 
POAH receives award for participation in Miami homeless preference program

Maria Navarro, Property Manager for Cutler Meadows Glen in Miami accepts award given to POAH Communities for the property's participation in the new Homeless Preference program launched by HUD-Miami and the Homeless Trust Group. 


RI Housing chief, supporters join POAH at Cherry-Briggs groundbreaking

Local officials, partners and Rhode Island Housing joined POAH at a celebration to kick off renovations at Cherry Hill Apartments (Johnston) and Aaron Briggs Manor (Providence), two housing developments for low-income seniors.

Northeast Sustainable Energy Association leads tour of POAH's "net zero" residences on Cape Cod
The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association led a tour of POAH's sustainability features at The Residences at Melpet Farm, a 27-unit development on Cape Cod that is close to "Net Zero" in energy use. The site sits next to a horse farm that was the set of a popular kids country western tv show in the 1960s.
