This is the month you have been waiting for! Interested in learning more about exporting? We have several upcoming exporting related events in the Northstate. First, we have the Export Trade Forum hosted by the NEC SBDC Butte College office. This event will teach you how to successfully export your products globally. There is also the California Agricultural Export (CalAgX) Executive Series that is being held in both Chico and Yreka. There is more information for these events in the newsletter below. For this month's NEC SBDC Service Center Highlight, we would like to commemorate the Jefferson Economic Development Institute or JEDI. Located in Siskiyou County, JEDI services small businesses within Siskiyou County by offering a one-stop shop for SBA-backed loans and other assistance. JEDI is also a sponsor for the upcoming CalAgX Executive Series.Lastly, we have an article from the SBA regarding the in's and out's of business financials.

California Agricultural Export (CalAgX) Executive Series
|
California Agricultural Export (CalAgX) Executive Series will help you not only take your product to a global market, but will also save you time and money in the process! The CalAgX is the most comprehensive executive export training program available to the California Specialty Crop industry it benefits the producers, processors, exporters and marketers of California grown products. Preferred Program Qualifications
- Must be a California based business and have been in business for at least 1 year (Employer Identification Number required).
- Products grown and produced in California.
- Have a qualified specialty crop product as defined by USDA that can be exported.
- Includes processed food products that are made up of 50% or more of a CA specialty crop.
- Be an educator or a student. (Contact NEC SBDC office for special pricing 530 898-4958)
Price for both California Agricultural CalAgX Executive Series: $60* This price includes four sessions and lunch on the first day and two sessions and lunch on the second day of the CalAgX Executive Series. An additional Export Assistance Program will be held on the second day immediately following the other sessions. *Scholarships available, contact Program Coordinator Kelli Anthis at kanthis@frc.edu for more details.

Sessions 1 - 4 will take place on May 17th from 9am until 4pm and the remaining 2 sessions with additional instruction on Export Assistance Programs for California food will take place on May 24th from 9am until 3pm.
