Funds to Benefit Via West Health & Life Skills Program
The Sharks Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of youth and family in the community, announced that Via Services is one of the 17 non-profit organizations selected as a 2013 Grant Recipient. Via Services will be recognized at an on-ice ceremony during the Sharks game on February 9th at the HP Pavilion.
The Sharks Foundation grant will be used to help fund Via Services' Health and Life Skills program at Via West, which is designed to maximize the positive impact on the lives of children and youth with special needs by addressing the physical, mental and emotional well-being of clients. The program empowers participants to be proactive and engaged in their own health through medical self-management, nutrition awareness, personal safety and physical activity.
