Mercury News Article Features Via West

Donations Lead to Via West Improvements
In a June 21 article, reporter Matt Wilson described how recent donations to Via West, including contributions from Deloitte and Touche, Martha Sanfillipo, JKL Construction, and Andreessen Horowitz and its six general partners, were being used to upgrade campus facilities and support programming. Those improvements include a new walk-in freezer, horse access ramp and roofs for two buildings.
The article also described how contributions have directly impacted the types of programming now being offered at Via West. Donated iPads enrich the content of programs by helping to teach communication and social skills. Additionally, each of the 5- day and 7- day sessions this summer will include a field trip.
Learning with an iPad at Via West
Via West, a part of Via Services Inc., offers year-round day and residential programs for adults and children with disabilities, ages 5 and older. The campus is located in the Cupertino foothills.
