Light of the World Outlet
Hands, Saints, and Choices

You don't have to be perfect to be a saint. In fact, the best saints are those who have a vivid awareness of their brokenness and dependence on the grace of God. Join us Sunday as we
--remember and give thanks for those who have died in the faith;
--baptize the newest saint of God, Jackson Evan Kilian;
--and recognize that we have a choice of how we use our hands to the service of God, and that maybe, just maybe, God can use yours, too!

We invite you to bring a photo or other memento of a loved one as we remember them and praise God for their lives. Our scripture for the day will be Joshua 24.1-5, 14-18.

Can't wait to see you this Sunday!
--Pastor Jenny

Light of the World Reflects

Your voice is needed on Saturday, November 7 from 9-11:30 a.m., for a Light of the World Morning of Reflection!

Light of the World makes a difference in our lives, and we'd like to make a difference in the lives of others, too. That's why it's worthwhile to spend some quality time together talking about our hopes and dreams for our life as a community, and what we'd like to offer others.
We're graciously meeting at Easter by the Lake, 4545 Pilot Knob Road, and thank them for providing the space for our gathering.

ALL ARE WELCOME!  Please RSVP by signing up at church or by emailing mission.assistant@lotwl.com

GIVE TO THE MAX is 2 Weeks Away!

Give to the Max Day is Thursday, November 12th. This 24-hour period of online giving across the state of Minnesota ignites generosity and grows giving to faith communities, schools, and nonprofits. Light of the World utilizes this opportunity to fire up our giving as well. Last year we blew our previous GTTM fundraising efforts out of the water, more than tripling our previous numbers. Consider all the reasons you're grateful to God and for your faith community, and plan now to make a special over-and-above donation to LOTW on November 12th. And let's all plan to do it at the best hour of the week--10 a.m.!
Greenleaf's "Gear Up For Winter"

  Two more volunteers needed!  Greenleaf's Gear Up for Winter program is in need of just two more volunteers on Thursday, November 5 from 5:45-8:15.  The volunteers will help distribute winter outerwear to students in need, as well as help with the final clean up when the event is over.  If interested, please e-mail Joanna at PGJGC@yahoo.com.
Armful of Love - 360 Communities

 We have an opportunity to help one of our new Big Give partners, 360 Communities in preparing for their Armful of Love campaign.  There are many positions needed to be filled, ranging from interviewing families, to greeters, to delivering packages.  There will also be an opportunity to adopt a family if you so desire.  There will be more information on the hospitality table this Sunday.
Sunday Morning recharge Group for Women

Some of our women would like to start a Sunday morning reCHARGE group that would meet from 8:55-9:55 a.m. at church on Spark and Confirmation Sundays, and on Sunday evenings for the other Sundays. Are you ready to refresh, renew, and reCHARGE your faith?
For more information, contact Wendy Steger (wendy_steger@hotmail.com) or Joanna Genovese-Cairns (pgjgc@yahoo.com).
