Holy Spirit: Unleashed
|
This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost, the day the Holy Spirit was unleashed on all people in dramatic fashion. Before this day, however, the Holy Spirit was only given to prophets, priests, or kings, but now God is sending the Holy Spirit to all people. What was it like on that day? What does that mean for us? Come and see. Worship is at 10 a.m. at North Trail Elementary.

Before-worship Pot Luck Breakfast
|
Come to North Trail Elementary at 9:00 am on Sunday, May 19 for a community pot luck breakfast. Bring your favorite morning goodie, whatever that may be: egg bake, potato casserole, fruit salad or coffee cake. Don't have time to prepare anything? Come anyway!
And, if you have one, wear your LOTW T-shirt. Or, order yours to wear this summer!

The Acts of the Holy Spirit
|
The last few weeks in worship we have heard stories from the book of Acts where the Holy Spirit is getting loose on ordinary and unlikely people. During May we will hear more stories from the book of Acts. These stories will focus on the early church as it struggles to decide how it will organize, what it will keep from Judaism, and how to witness to those outside the Jewish faith. ~~ Pastor Hollie

The LOTW Council met for an all-day retreat on Saturday, April 13. At the Retreat, the focus was on what the next steps should be in the process of calling a new pastor. It was decided that getting input from the congregation to understand "who we are" is a very important first step.
Next meeting: Wednesday, May 22 at 7 pm.
