LOTW TRANSITION NEWS 
House Meetings Begin in May
 
As we enter this exciting time of action at LOTW, I continue to be honored and humbled to be of service to Christ, our church, and to each of you, God's children. I pray that we continue to keep in mind, first and foremost, that all we do is for Christ, and that ultimately His will be done.

 

This past Saturday, members of the church council and staff (Hollie, Emmy and Lana) were able to spend a day in prayer, building relationships and planning. There was a lot of sharing and reflections. We heard many stories of why people came to LOTW, and what keeps us here, what we love, and our fears, hopes and dreams. Know that you are not alone! Stories of redemption, support and love were common as people talked about finding LOTW as a home. To hear the stories made clear that the fruits of our mission are being realized; faith, love and acceptance in a community centered in Christ!

 

It is our hope as a leadership team to continue these conversations in a series of House Meetings over the next 5 to 7 weeks. These meetings will focus on discerning the WHY(s) of LOTW: what is important to people as a church, where do people's passions lie, where should our energy be focused as a community. This will help to formulate a Ministry Site Profile document which will be sent to the Synod for use in the initial screening of candidates for LOTW's call of a new pastor.

 

I pray for each of you, and encourage you to participate in one of these meetings (kid friendly options available) to let your story be heard, but also to hear the stories of others so that you too can feel the power of God's work taking place. This is our opportunity to discuss what we want LOTW to "look like" in the future.
