Meet This Year's Guest Soloist at Season of Harmony

Jennifer Danielle Green does not remember a day of life without music. Beginning with her debut performance of "Rainbow Connection" at five years of age, sharing music with others has always been her first love.

Classically-trained for years in piano and oboe, in addition to playing alto saxophone and holding the drum major role in marching band, Jennifer did not limit herself to a certain kind of music. Her experience is vast and includes performances of many musical styles including country, pop, Christian, big band, and everything in between.

She has had the privilege of entertaining audiences of all sizes, traveling throughout the country and Canada as a soloist and with groups, and has had the privilege of opening for country artists from Doug Stone to George Jones.

Jennifer minored in music at Lipscomb University and earned her graduate degree in counseling from the University of the Southwest. After working six years in public relations and marketing for country and gospel superstars, she set out to open a children's music company, Tots and Tunes. There she offered private lessons, therapeutic music intervention to families of children with special needs, and group classes focusing on parent education and the development of children through music.

A strong proponent of the difference music can make, Jennifer has continued education in music therapy and incorporates her passion into her current position as an elementary school counselor. At Lipscomb Academy Elementary School, you might find her singing with kindergarteners to set the tone, songwriting with fourth graders to express needs, or sharing music to ease pain. Jennifer and her husband have been married over 17 years, and have two boys, Daniel and Luke.

Our annual Season of Harmony Concerts have quickly become a Music City holiday tradition. We're adding great value this year, not only through our music, but through 25-33% discounts on advance ticket orders.

Zander   Quote of the Week

"It's one of the characteristics of a leader that he not doubt for one moment the capacity of the people he's leading to realize whatever he's dreaming. Imagine if Martin Luther King had said, 'I have a dream. Of course, I'm not sure they'll be up to it."- Benjamin Zander

   This Day In Music

November 3 1972 -
James Taylor and Carly Simon were married by a judge in Simon's  Manhattan apartment, beginning their eleven year marriage. That evening, Simon joined him on stage at New York's Radio City Music Hall and announced their union to a cheering audience.
