   Guest Artist Anounced!
The O'Donnells To Join The Nashville Singers For Our
2014 Season of Harmony Concerts

(L to R) Darryl Lee O'Donnell (Guitar, Banjo), Klinton O'Donnell (Piano)
The O'Donnells
are a dynamic father son duo, compared often to a male version of the Judds. With outstanding harmonies and phenomenal musicianship, they captivate an audience from the first note to the last. From Klinton pounding out a Jerry Lee Lewis song or proving his abilities on a Bruce Hornsby tune to Darryl tearing and bending up a fiery guitar solo or picking out a fast foot stomping bluegrass tune on the banjo , a good time will be had by all.

In the past, Darryl has been on tour singing backup and playing guitar with Tracy Lawrence as well as several other acts. Klinton has been on tour playing keys with Opry Star Mel McDaniel, and has worked with T. Graham Brown, John Conlee, Buddy Jewell, and some others. They have opened for such acts as Little Texas, Darryl Worley, Ricochet, Neil McCoy, Mo Bandy, Shelly West, Steve Wariner, Gene Watson, and others.

In the Last three years the O'Donnells have been busy performing as a dual act and with full bands at carnivals, festivals, clubs, weddings, private parties, and restaurants in Nashville, Las Vegas, Texas, Pennsylvania, Infield at the Daytona 500, and many others.

Check out our their new video "Choose Me" recorded to bring awareness of all the homeless animals in our country. Pass it on to all your friends and family to get the word out.

We hope you can join us!

Elizabeth Johnson with Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music
leads the kids through their jazz recital in front of parents, friends and family members

This past Saturday afternoon, VSA Tennessee in cooperation with the Nashville Jazz workshop, provided instruction to a dozen students in the art of vocal jazz. This program is for young people with disabilities who have an interest in vocal music. They learned vocal jazz techniques from professionals at the Nashville Jazz Workshop and then experienced a performance by the VSA TN 2014 Young Soloist competition winner, Kristen Wright, with Byrd and the Blues. The event was free of charge and sponsored by a grant from the Nashville Singers. Directors Todd Wilson and Sloan Yarborough were on hand to enjoy watching these great kids learn about vocal jazz and enjoy SINGING! Your ongoing support of the Nashville Singers, makes music education events like this possible.

Leaders MUST LEAD and have the courage to explore new ways to position their group to THRIVE, not just SURVIVE.
