   Arranger Profile - Adam Reimnitz

Reimnitz Adam became involved in barbershop at the age of 14 while growing up in Fremont, NE. He was involved in a musical production that was being directed by the director of the local barbershop chapter. After rehearsals, the director had Adam and his friends staying around teaching them tags and they soon had a quartet going. He has been hooked since then and continually loves to improve and help others with the barbershop craft.

His musical studies began at the age of 5 with piano lessons, which led to several concerto level competitions, recitals, and awards. Lessons on pipe organ soon followed and Adam found himself subbing and playing at churches throughout the area. All the while, his love of percussion (especially drumset) really began to grow. He went on to the University of Nebraska to study theory, percussion, and some voice and performed in the University Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Men's Choir, Marching Band, Jazz I (drumset), and Jazz II (piano). Following several years of college, he became a first call drummer in the Lincoln, NE area followed by some touring with several jazz, rock, and country bands.

Adam currently sings with the Sound of the Rockies chorus in Denver, CO. His arrangements have been commissioned and performed by some of the top quartets and choruses in the BHS and several in SAI and Harmony, Inc. In 2004, he was certified in the Music Category and remains the youngest certified judge in the BHS.

His first district quartet championship and trip to the international stage occurred in 2006-2007 with the quartet MOJO.

He currently lives in Denver with his wife Heather (a Sweet Adeline herself) and works as a Production Manager for The Sunnywood Collection; a company specializing in mounting and displaying of minerals and gemstones. In his "spare time", he continues to study the drums, cook, and golf.

The Nashville Singers have performed a few of Adam's arrangements, including Away in a Manger and Beyond the Sea. We're currently learning a few more of his charts, including Rockin' Christmas Medley and Winter Wonderland.

Critical Success Factors

Though our first plan for the formation and operation of the Nashville Singers was created well before our first meeting, the Board of Directors did not formerly adopt our 2020 Vision and strategic plan until January of 2011. So much of the success we have enjoyed in our first five years stems from our commitment to excellence off the stage and behind the scenes. During the formation of that plan, the following important guidelines were identified:
  1. We must rigorously hold ourselves accountable: for growth in the number of people we serve; for continuing to examine and enhance the services we offer; for the way we measure the quality of mission services; and for the value we deliver on the funds entrusted to us.
  2. We must continually ensure that our mission is clearly understood and widely communicated.
  3. Public trust in our brand is one of our most valuable and potentially fragile assets. Therefore, we must remain vigilant in protecting and enhancing our brand to increase funding and awareness.
  4. We must expand, strengthen, and enhance partnerships with organizations that share our mission to increase collaboration, trust and unanimity in mission-critical areas.
  5. Our strategy for the future should establish a direction for the Nashville Singers that puts the efforts, energies and resources of the entire organization to the best possible uses.
  6. We must communicate our goals and strategies clearly to all stakeholders.
  7. We must ensure that our focus, effort, and resources elevate expectations and results throughout the Nashville Singers organization.
