Kudos To Our Newest In-Kind Sponsors

Thank You to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee

(L to R) Todd Wilson, Executive Director of The Nashville Singers, Inc.,
and .Ellen Lehman, President of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, a charitable organization dedicated to enriching the quality of life in the 40 Middle Tennessee counties it serves, announces $1.24 million in grants to 255 nonprofit organizations as part of The Foundation's annual discretionary grantmaking process.

Nashville Singers received a grant to support two music education programs, A Cappella Academy and their Middle & High School Master Class program, targeting at-risk youth.

"The work of our nonprofit partners has never been more important as we watch needs emerge
and evolve in this community," said Ellen Lehman, president of The Community Foundation of
Middle Tennessee. "The Community Foundation is honored to connect generosity with need
through these annual grants and other avenues throughout the year, but we couldn't have an
impact without the array of quality nonprofits offering solutions to our community's needs and
vital services to our neighbors."

The Community Foundation awards discretionary grants annually from its unrestricted and
field-of-interest funds, through an open application process, to Middle Tennessee nonprofits
organizations addressing community needs and benefiting the well-being of citizens through
valuable programs and innovative services.

More information on the grant process is online at www.cfmt.org/request/grants/.

Nashville Singers Help Tim Mullican Celebrate Retirement

Treasurer and lead vocalist Tim Mullican recently retired from his three decade plus career as an air traffic controller. Many of Tim's friends and family, including the Nashville Singers gathered at Jonathan's Restaurant in Mount Juliet last Thursday night to help Tim celebrate this milestone. The chorus sang "Happy Together" and "Over the Rainbow" for those in attendance. Before the night was through, The Founders Quartet sang a few songs. A delightful server names Olivia handled the entire party. She asked the members of the Founders if they knew any Beatles songs. The foursome performed "If I Fell" as performed by the Suntones for the very first time. That's right, not even a rehearsal.  Olivia was thrilled and captured the performance on her phone It's wonderful to see how music can touch people.
