Nashville Singers is NOT DISBANDING!
WE'RE JUST WARMING UP!

Quote of the Week

Zander Many business leaders still tend to believe that the company cannot succeed unless they are in charge of everything. This is also a hard belief to resist, since shareholders often hold CEOs directly responsible when a company's fortunes start to fall. But Rule #6, which states simply: "Don't take yourself so seriously!", helps us remember that taking the trials and triumphs of life too personally actually drags us down to a place where things just go from bad to worse. Even-and perhaps especially-in business, humor and laughter can be extraordinarily effective tools in helping us to "get over ourselves" rather than acting entitled and demanding, putting other people down, or assigning blame. Once we learn how to "lighten up," we learn how to see the essential value of mistakes, to view problems and situations differently. By doing so, we can find ways to turn seemingly impossible problems into opportunities for possibility. - Benjamin Zander

The results were very encouraging.

Masonic Grand Lodge Performance Reaches 250+
nsi 32813
The Nashville Singers performed at the Maunday Thursday service held at the Masonic Grand Lodge in downtown Nashville on March 28th.

The chorus performed "Were You There" and the "Lord's Prayer" during the service. Nashville Singers lead singer Bryan Patrick performed a solo on the song Jerusalem accompanied by guest organist Julian Calvin.

After the 90-minute service, we shifted downstairs to enjoy a delicious dinner with some of our spouses. After we cleaned our plates, the chorus performed a handful of songs while the rest of the 250+ attendees were finishing their meal.

Ric Domenico

Special kudos go out to Nashville Singers charter member and lead section leader Ric Domenico. We were requested to perform a song called "Were You There" to fit the theme of the service. Ric created a beautiful vocal arrangement for this song, produced learning media,  and rehearsed the chorus on this piece in the month leading up to the event. At the event Ric also performed a solo at the beginning piece and directed the Nashville Singers in front of the appreciative crowd.

Nashville Singers is blessed to have so many talented people within our ranks. Thank you Ric!!
Ringmasters to Appear on NBC's Today Show
Ringmasters
Ringmasters "Lazybones"

The Barbershop Harmony Society celebrates its 75th anniversary on Thursday April 11th. To help commemorate this milestone, the 2012 International Quartet Champion, Ringmasters has been asked to perform on the nationally-broadcast show and be interviewed as well. The foursome is based in Sweden but is in the USA for some performances during their championship year.

Ringmasters is a Swedish barbershop quartet that was founded the fall of 2006. The group consists of Jakob Stenberg (tenor), Rasmus Krigström (lead), Emanuel Roll (baritone) and Martin Wahlgren (bass); who all studied at Adolf Fredrik's school of music and graduated from Stockholm's Music High School. In July 2012 they became International Quartet Champions at the Barbershop Harmony Society's convention in Portland, Oregon, making history as the first non-North-American quartet ever to win the championship.
