About Us

Nashville Singers, Inc. is a 501(C)3 non-profit corporation and performing arts organization founded in 2008.

The members reside in Brentwood, Hermitage, LaVergne, Lebanon, Nashville, and Smyrna.

The group meets at Whitworth Memorial Baptist Church the first three Thursday evenings of each month from 7-10pm.
 
Membership in Nashville Singers is open to all men who demonstrate the ability, desire, and a commitment to excellence in vocal and choral performance.

Nashville Singers Tennessee Chamber Performance to Be Attended By Governor Haslam
 
haslam The men of the Nashville Singers have been invited to present a 20-minute performance to hundreds of business leaders and legislators from across Tennessee at the 101st annual membership meeting of the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce. The event will take place at lunchtime on April 2nd at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Nashville. Governor Bill Haslam will be the keynote speaker. Kudos to advisory board member Ruth Woodall for making this appearance possible. More details will be posted as soon as they are available.

We will be in the Thomas McMeen Music Center, building #23 on the map shown below.  The rehearsal hall is upstairs, room 204.

To increase awareness of our music, events, community outreach activities, music education and philanthropic programs, Nashville Singers will be hosting a number of "open rehearsals" at college campuses and schools across Middle Tennessee in 2013. Whether you are are interested in getting up on the risers and SINGING a song or two with us, or simply want to watch and listen, guests are welcome. You do not have to be a college student to attend these "open rehearsals." For more information, click on the university logo shown above.

More "open rehearsals" are in the works for 2013. If you would like to host one of these events at your high school, college or university in Middle Tennessee, please contact Executive Director Todd Wilson by calling 615-852-SING (7464) or via email.

The Nashville Singers Organization Is Pleased to Support Tennesseans for the Arts. 

One of the strategies we hold dear is to build alliances with like-minded organizations, and leverage the talent within those alliances. To that end, Nashville Singers is proud t4a to support Tennesseans for the Arts. At Tennesseans for the Arts (TFTA), they know that the arts foster vibrant communities. The arts inspire our children. They/we believe there's no better way to enrich the quality of life for all of us. Their mission and their passion is to advocate for the arts at all levels as a strong, unified voice throughout Tennessee. They have committed to:
  • Support local arts organizations  
  • Support the work of the Tennessee Arts Commission (TAC) in every city and county
  • Work with legislators to secure funding
  • Assist the Arts Caucus in the General Assembly
  • Organize arts advocacy events, culminating in the annual Arts Advocacy Day at the state Capitol

For a third consecutive year, Nashville Singers is offering FREE SINGING LESSONS to aspiring singers in Middle Tennessee. This program is open to male and female singers young and old, from teenagers to senior citizens.      

 

In the last two years, this program has attracted 36 participants from across Tennessee, Alabama, and Ohio.   

     

EDUCATIONAL SCHEDULE  

8:30am to 9:00am - Registration, group assignments
9:00pm to 10:15am - Section One
10:15am to 10:30am - Break
10:30pm - 12:00pm - Section Two
12:00pm to 12:45pm - Lunch
12:45pm to 2:15pm - Section Three
2:15pm to 2:30pm - Break
2:30pm to 3:30pm - Section Four
3:30pm to 3:50pm - Instructors available for one on one questions
3:50pm to 4:00pm - Break

Applications are now being accepted for the Nashville Singers 2013 Music Makes a Difference Music Education Grant Program.

This funding is available for school music programs or nonprofit organizations in Middle Tennessee whose mission is focused on music education.

We have received a few applications so far, so the odds of qualifying for this funding are HIGH!


Completed applications must be received by March 31, 2013!

This funding is available for Middle Tennessee high school seniors pursuing a music education degree or a former Educator of the Future scholarship winner.

March 28 - (NEW) (Thu) Maundy Thursday Performance at the Masonic Grand Lodge downtown at 7th & Broadway at 6:00pm. Chorus call 5:30pm; Uniform: Black Blazer, White Shirt, Red Tie, Khaki Pants, Black Shoes/Socks/Belt; We will be singing "Were You There" and "The Lord's Prayer" during the service and a half dozen other songs downstairs. The service is open to the public and is family-friendly.
 
April 2 - (NEW) Lunchtime performance for the 101st annual membership meeting of the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Nashville
