For a third consecutive year, Nashville Singers is offering free singing lessons to aspiring singers in Middle Tennessee. This program is open to male and female singers young and old, from teenagers to senior citizens. These lessons are full of valuable and creative opportunities for skill, talent and knowledge growth. The clinicians are excellent. The content is rich and exciting. You'll receive a combination of technical and artistic vocal training, covering the following areas:
- Breathing-posture, breath support and control for singing freely produced tones
- Resonance-tone placement, emotional color and blend
- Vowels - target sounds, diction and diphthongs
- Rhythm - creating precise synchronization
- Dynamics - use of soft/loud ranges to create meaning and artistic joy
- Artistry - something magical that can happen when notes and words become second nature
What's new this year?
- Due to an expected increase in program participants, on-site registration will begin at 8:30am.
- The break between the educational portion of the schedule and the free mini-concert performance has been shortened by 90 minutes.
- The mini-concert will start at 4:00pm, two hours earlier than last year.
- If requested in advance, and for a nominal fee of $10, Nashville Singers can provide a box lunch and bottled water.

Arranger Profile - Adam Reimnitz
Adam Reimnitz became involved in barbershop at the age of 14 while growing up in Fremont, NE, USA. He has been hooked on barbershop harmony since then and continually loves to improve and help others with the barbershop craft.
His musical studies began at the age of 5 with piano lessons, which led to several concerto level competitions, recitals, and awards. Lessons on pipe organ soon followed and Adam found himself subbing and playing at churches throughout the area. All the while, his love of percussion (especially drumset) began to grow. He went on to the University of Nebraska to study theory, percussion, and some voice and performed in the University Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Men's Choir, Marching Band, Jazz I (drumset), and Jazz II (piano). Following several years of college, he became a first call drummer in the Lincoln, NE area followed by some touring with several jazz, rock, and country bands.
Adam is currently the tenor section leader for the award winning chorus "The Sound of the Rockies" and is past musical director for the Colorado Springs, Colorado "America the Beautiful Chorus." His arrangements have been commissioned and performed by some of the top quartets and choruses in the Barbershop Harmony Society, Sweet Adelines International, and Harmony, Inc. In 2004, he was certified in the Music Category and held the title of youngest certified judge until 2010. His first district quartet championship and trip to the international stage occurred in 2007, singing tenor in "MOJO." He currently sings in the 2011 Rocky Mountain District champions and 2011 International Representatives "The Crew." He currently lives in Denver with his wife Heather (a Sweet Adeline herself) and works as a Production and General Manager for The Sunnywood Collection; a company specializing in mounting and displaying of minerals and gemstones. In his "spare time", he continues to study the drums, cook, and golf.
Adam arranged one of our new Christmas songs for 2013, Away in a Manger.
