Grant Received This Week!
The Nashville Singers received a small general support grant from the Bird Family Advised Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. We are extremely grateful to receive this funding.
What is a Donor-Advised Fund?
A Donor-Advised Fund at The Community Foundation gives individuals, families and corporations great flexibility in their charitable giving, with minimal cost. Donor-advised funds permit donors to participate in the funding process by suggesting grants to nonprofit organizations. This type of fund provides convenience and flexibility by allowing donors to support various charitable organizations over time through one initial donation. For some, this is an attractive alternative to a private foundation. To learn more, consult your own professional advisors and contact The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee at 615-321-4939, or email them at mail@cfmt.org.

Advisory Board Member Profile - Roger White
Roger White began performing at the age of five when his preschool teacher asked him to recite the books of the New Testament at graduation because he was the loudest in his class. Since that time he took up singing and has performed on stage at venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Crystal Cathedral, The Sydney Opera House, The Billy Graham Library and The White House. Other credits include parts in an English music video, a Hollywood movie and several local television specials. Awarded a college football scholarship, he decided instead to accept a music scholarship which forever changed the direction of his life. His leadership has produced many events including a concert featuring appearances by John Dominick III and Lee Greenwood who were backed by a chorus of 250 along with a full orchestra. He has served on numerous other local and national boards and committees. A teacher at heart he has trained thousands of people across the United States in areas such as leadership, finance, management, networking, marketing, safety and hospitality in both non-profit and for profit sectors. An ordained Deacon, he and his wife Teresa reside in Franklin and have four children and one grandchild.
