New Music for 2013 to be Unveiled this Week!
For the first three years of our existence, the Director of Music was responsible for choosing the songs performed by the Nashville Singers. Many members will tell you, one of the things they like most about their experience with the chorus is getting to sing great arrangements of great songs.
To deepen the pool of song ideas and create a sounding board for these types of decisions, a new Music Evaluation Committee was formed in 2012. That group has convened several time this year to help come up with an exciting music plan for 2013. The permanent members of the committee are the Director (Todd Wilson) and Associate Director of Music (Sloan Yarborough) and three at large members. The three at large members in 2012 were Ric Domenico, Bryan Patrick, and Taylor Wilson.
We will be playing full mixes of all the new songs this coming Thursday and will begin rehearsing the new music on January 3rd.
If you're curious about what we have planned, you should plan to attend the meeting on December 20. Visit our website or other links in this newsletter for meeting information.
