About Us

Nashville Singers, Inc. is a 501(C)3 non-profit corporation and performing arts organization founded in 2008.

The members reside in Brentwood, Hermitage, LaVergne, Lebanon, Nashville, and Smyrna.

The group meets at Whitworth Memorial Baptist Church the first three Thursday evenings of each month from 7-10pm.
 
Membership in Nashville Singers is open to all men who demonstrate the ability, desire, and a commitment to excellence in vocal and choral performance.

Performance at Donelson-Hermitage Chamber Luncheon Generates Great Feedback!

donelson-chamber On October 11, Nashville Singers
performed Happy Together, Blew By You, Over the Rainbow and The Lion Sleeps tonight for a packed house at the monthly meeting for members of the Donelson-Hermitage Chamber of Commerce. The event was held at the Radisson Hotel Opryland.

The Donelson Hermitage Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1971 and has grown from a membership of a few business leaders of the community to an organization that has approximately 400 businesses, individuals and organizations as members. The President of the DHC is Jane Schnelle.
We are thrilled that Jane will be joining the Nashville Singers Advisory Board in 2013.
 

Nashville Singers donated a pair of VIP tickets to the 2012 Season of Harmony for the door prize drawing. The tickets were won by Larry Keeton.

The celebration starts at 7:00pm on October 19 at The Factory at Franklin.

Big Brothers Big Sisters' mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

By supporting the Franklin Wine Festival events, you are helping vulnerable children throughout Middle Tennessee beat the odds.

You are invited to join Nashville Singers for an unprecedented celebration enjoying over 300 wines, culinary offerings from more than 30 Middle Tennessee restaurants and caterers, a live and silent auction, interesting and educational seminars, a fun King and Queen of the Vines competition, and live entertainment on two stages.  There are additionally exclusive Vintner's Dinners that represent the ultimate pairing of food and wine on a very intimate scale.

Salute to Excellence Winners Announced

On October 9, the Center for Nonprofit Management announced the winners of the 2012 Salute to Excellence awards!

The event marked the 20th anniversary of Salute and with 1,000 guests, a record number of attendees came out to celebrate nonprofit excellence at the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville. Music was provided by the Nashville Symphony. The Master of Ceremonies was Emmy-award winning journalist and news anchor Rhori Johnston with NewsChannel 5.

In total, 10 awards and the winning team of Collaboration College were announced and awarded $209,000. Congratulations to the winners.

The Frist Foundation Awards of Achievement recognize excellence in Middle Tennessee nonprofit organizations in three categories: Revenue Development, Innovation in Action, and Team Building. 

 

1) The winner in the Revenue Development category is the Neuroclarity program of

Oasis Center, Inc. 

2) The winner in the Innovation in Action category is Hands On Nashville's Home Energy Savings program. 

3) The winner in the Team Building category is Rebuilding Together Nashville.

The Bank of America CEO of the Year Award highlights the importance of executive leadership in an organization's achievement of mission-related results. This year's winner is Daryl R. Murray of Welcome Home Ministries.  

 

The Kraft CPAs Board Member of the Year Award recognizes board members who go the extra mile for their organizations. This year's winner is Dr. Roy Thompson of Interfaith Dental Clinic.  

 

The Memorial Foundation Leadership Award is awarded to a nonprofit agency that has demonstrated sound management strategy in the heat of crisis.  This year's winner is Bridges.  

 

The SunTrust Business Acumen in the Arts Award recognizes arts organizations that have demonstrated particular business acumen in implementing an initiative that carries out the agency's mission and creates high community impact. This year's winner is W.O. Smith Music School Inspire Teaching Series.   

 

The Erie Chapman Foundation Servant's Heart Award was created to recognize individuals who are providing care and/or assistance to the clients of a nonprofit agency and who are on the "front lines" of the service profession. This year's winner is Sarah Norberg of Preston Taylor Ministries. 

The Baptist Healing Trust Compassionate Care Award is designed to recognize a nonprofit where love and compassion characterize its delivery of service. This year's winner is The Brown Center for Autism. 

The Baptist Healing Trust Access of Care Award acknowledges organizations that demonstrate boldness in expanding access to care, especially for the

vulnerable and underserved in Middle Tennessee. The year's winner is Tennessee Justice Center. 

The Collaboration College award winner is the Collaboration for Family Support, which is an initiative of Family and Children's Service, Conexión Americas, Nurses for Newborns, and the Martha O'Bryan Center. 

In addition, several nonprofit leaders were recognized for completing classroom studies in the following areas: Fund Development, Volunteer Management, Program Management, Nonprofit Leadership, Nonprofit Essentials, Nonprofit Management and Supervisory Certificates.

Nashville Singers Executive Director Todd Wilson was one of 29 nonprofit leaders in Middle Tennessee recognized for earning one of these certificates. Wilson earned a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership in 2012. He earned a certificate in Fund Development in 2011.

Do You Have a Product or Service You Could Consider Donating to Our Silent Auction?

The second annual Nashville Singers Silent Auction is taking place on the evening of our Season of Harmony concert, November 17, 2012  at 6:00pm at Hillsboro High School. Bidding will be permitted through the end of the intermission of our Season of Harmony concert event. Winning bidders can pick up their items at the conclusion of the concert. We raised $1200 from 35 donated items at last year's auction. Money raised with this auction will help support many of our critical programs, including youth and adult music education programs, next year's annual concert and a future recording project. 

 

Donations are now being accepted for the 2012 Silent Auction, set to take place November 17 in Nashville, at starting at 6:00pm at Hillsboro High School. Donating to the Silent Auction is easy - simply complete and submit the online donation reservation form on our website so we have the necessary information about your item and the donor to be recognized, and your spot will be reserved in the auction.   

 

To have your donation acknowledged in the 2012 concert program please complete and submit this form by October 26, 2012.
