Every day thousands of unsung heroes bring caring and compassion to the lives of millions. Their names are never featured in the headlines,
but our world would be a much darker place without them. -Charles Devlin

Letter from the Race Manager
|
Greetings!
It is hard to believe that MCM is right around the corner!
This past weekend, many of you have completed your 18-20 mile run and are now tapering off. Enjoy these next couple of weeks as you wind down and let your body rest so you will be strong for marathon day.
By now, you should all have received your team shirt. Wear your team shirt with pride. You are a part of the largest charity team in the MCM!
Our fundraising efforts are well under way, but we do still have a way to go to reach our goal of $775,000. Together, we can crush this goal!
Please come by the EXPO, pick up your goody bag, and say hello race weekend. As a reminder, we also have a RACE DAY TENT before and after the marathon on Charity Hill. We hope to see you there.
The registration for our Past Dinner (being held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott) is now open. Please register as soon as possible, and don't forget to send a picture of your training to MCMpictures@semperfifund.org for the slide show.
You are the "unsung heroes" of the Semper Fi Fund. Not only are you training for a marathon, which is a huge commitment in itself, but you are also fundraising for our wounded and critically ill service members and their families. Thank you for your dedication to our mission of "serving those who preserve our freedom!"
All the best,
Elizabeth O'Connell and the

We maintain an extremely low overhead - 6% and we provide rapid assistance with no red tape.

Do you have a family member
or know someone that would like to volunteer?
The Semper Fi Fund will have a water station at this year's race as well as other volunteer opportunities leading up to, and including race weekend.
|
Give your donors something in return.
Have them sponsor a mile or two, and dedicate the distance to them by doing something while you're running. A tweet as you cross the mile marker? A pic of you when you're done? For example, if you donate at least $50 to my campaign, it buys you a spot on my running playlist. $100 buys you two spots, and I will listen to your favorite running songs at some point during the mile of your choice.
