Our guest preacher on Sunday, Oct. 14 will be none other than our own Amy Slade!

Amy Slade
Amy has agreed to be our guest preacher at both the 8 and 10 a.m. service on Sunday, Oct. 14.  She'll be sharing her own journey of faith with all of us, particularly focused on her reasons for making a pledge to this place year after year.

Prepare to be inspired!

Volunteers needed to prepare and serve the meal for Bristol Lodge - Sunday, October 14

"Parent-free Coffee Hour" planned for
this Sunday, October 14
Pirate kids
This Sunday, October 14 we are planning a "Parent-free Coffee Hour."

All the children will go to Coffee Hour without their parents.  Yikes!  Who is going to make sure they don't become a band of pirates set out to destroy the church or worse eat too many Dunkin Donuts munchkins!  Well...all of our members without children will be keeping a watchful eye and hopefully even take the time to play with them.

The parents will be invited to the Bramhall Room for a session on Christian parenting with Cheryl and Paul.

When a child is baptized the congregation stands and promises to support him or her in their walk with Christ.  This is an opportunity to put the promise into action!  Parent free coffee hours will be held about every other month throughout the year.

Parish Workday planned for Saturday, Oct. 20

Volunteers are needed to help with
some fall clean-up projects Yard Work around the church on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 9:00 - 12:00.  The bushes are in need of some serious trimming all around the church, parking lot, and even in the courtyards.  Inside all of the storm windows need to be lowered.  Join us if you can!

Heads Up: Germaine Lawrence announced merger with Youth Villages
Germaine Lawrence

Effective Sept. 1, 2012, Germaine Lawrence merged with Youth Villages, a leading nonprofit in the field of children's mental and behavioral health, both nationally and in Massachusetts. Germaine Lawrence is now theYouth Villages-Germaine Lawrence Campus.

While the name has changed, their commitment to providing the highest-quality programs remains the same. The merger is providing more options for troubled girls in Massachusetts. This is a positive change for Germaine Lawrence and, most importantly, for the girls they serve.

By bringing together two like-minded organizations that share the mission to provide the very best and most appropriate services to children with emotional and behavioral issues, they will be adding significant capacity to help even more Massachusetts children and families. Together, they will be able to serve more than 1,000 children annually in the coming years.

We will have Pam Nourse speak with us on Sunday, November 18 and she will talk of the changes and we'll have our Christmas Gift Ingathering on Sunday, December 2. The bottom line is that the girls still need our help, either with gifts or volunteering of time, etc.
Our purpose is to know Jesus Christ and to make him known.

Our vision is to be a center of Anglicanism within the Episcopal Church.

Our mission is to communicate the universal church's witness to Jesus within the congregation and to the world thereby making disciples of Jesus Christ who personally know Jesus and strive to make him known.
