What's Happened at the Senate
In the Fall semester, the Mayors of Rohnert Park and Cotati both visited the Senate. Senate meetings are always open to the campus for guests to attend. Ask your Senate rep what's on the Senate agenda you might be interested in.

Policies Important to Faculty

The Senate approved a new SSU SETE policy. This policy guides the administration, implementation and access of electronic SETEs and the data they provide.

The Senate approved a revision to the Lecturer's Role in Departmental Governance to align it with the CBA and recent arbitration findings. This policy is important to every department that employs lecturers.

Faculty Role in the Graduation Initiative

The Chair of the Faculty gave a presentation to the Senate about the faculty role in the the Graduation Initiative and the new CSU Dashboard website to help departments find solutions for their particular area. Check it out at https://www.calstate.edu/dashboard. Also, see Chair Senghas' presentation here
S&F Task Force on the Re-Org of Faculty Governance

This task force started by getting a sense of TT faculty service in the University, in order to have good data to work with. An info graphic was produced to illustrate what was found to the Senate. This is a small version. If you would like the large version, just email the Senate office. A website had been put up to document task force work.
