One of the World's Most Unusual Elevators - The Falkirk Wheel Scotland
The Falkirk Wheel located in the Scotish Canals, lies at the end of a reinforced concrete aqueduct that connects, via the Roughcastle tunnel and a double staircase lock, to the Union Canal. Boats entering the Wheel's upper gondola are lowered, along with the water that they float in, to the basin below. At the same time, an equal weight rises up, lifted in the other gondola.

Psychology Behind Where You Stand When You Get In An Elevator
Elevators are curious things. I know people who are deathly afraid of getting in them. After seeing all the movies where the elevator falls uncontrollably and everybody screams, I can understand why they are scary to some people. Other people love them. I remember about a year ago when I wrote about a Glass-Floored Bathroom built over a 15-story elevator shaft. I'm still not sure I would use that bathroom.
