Did you recently attend a 4-H event or want to check out pictures of the Clay County Fair? 
All photos taken are posted here.  This is a safe, private site for 4-H members and their families to view pictures from all Clay County 4-H events. 

General & Livestock Information 

 

4-H Enrollment:
We are currently accepting early enrollments.  If your 4-Her(s) complete online enrollment and pay the $25.00 fee before December 1st, they will earn 5 Clover Bowl (Awards Program) points for their club. A full list of Clay County 4-H Clubs is available here.

CWF Trip:
It is time to register for the CWF trip!  All 4-Hers in grades 10 through 12 are encouraged to think about going.  Information can be found
here
.  Trip deposits are due by December 15th.

Scramble Calf Sign Up:

It's time to enroll in the 2013-2014 Scramble Calf Project that there is no limit to the times a 4-Her can participate in the project area.  This way, anyone is eligible to sign up!

  • The purpose of the Scramble Calf project is to provide an educational beef production experience for beef project members and to also provide a mentoring opportunity.  Guidelines for the scramble calf program can be found in the 4-H & FFA Clay County Fair Book.
  • Deadline is middle of December.
  • To sign up for the scramble calf project, simply call 262-2264 or stop in the Extension Office

Beef Weigh In:

The Halter and Market Beef Weigh-In will be held on Saturday, January 4 10-12 at the Spencer Livestock Sale Barn. You must call our office at 262-2264 to make an appointment. 

  • Please call the Extension Office for additional information regarding signatures and nomination papers in regards to State Fair and Ak-Sar-Ben calves.
County & State Recognition

Recordkeeping:
Recordkeeping/Record Books are due the Clay County Extension Office on December 1st.  Forms are available on our websiteCall Anissa at 712-262-2264 for help with your recordbook!

County Scholarship Information: 
Clay County 4-H Scholarship applications are due by February 1st to the Clay County Extension Office 110 West 4th Street, Suite 100 Spencer, IA  51301
