FSQA Testing
All 4-Hers exhibiting animal (except Dog & Horse) MUST have FSQA training or testing. More information can be found on our website.
There will be an additional FSQA Training: 1:30-3:30 Tuesday, May 28th in the Clay Central-Everly Music Room. Youth must RSVP to attend by e-mailing or calling our office at 262-2264. FSQA testing will also be available.
Other Remaining Training Opportunities: May 30th in Sibley (Osceola County Fairgrounds) 4pm-6pm June 6th in Pocahontas (Expo Center) 3pm-5pm
Testing is available Monday-Friday from 10am-3pm for 4-Hers in 7th-12th grade. Appointments must be made by emailing me. Study material is available here.
Swine, Sheep and Meat Goat Weigh Ins
Swine Weigh In is June 3rd 8am-12pm and 5pm-7pm
Sheep & Meat Goat Weigh In is June 4th 8am-12pm
Plan to bring money for tags ($1.25 per tag). Exhibitors can nominate their animals for AK-SAR-BEN, $5.00 per tag for all 3 species. Call our office at 262-2264 to make an appointment to weigh in your animal(s). Iowa State University Livestock Judging Camp The Iowa State University Department of Animal Science and 2013 Livestock Judging Team will again sponsor the ISU Livestock Judging Camp being held June 10 -12, 2013. Bunny Basics Tattoo Clinic There will be a bunny basics tattoo clinic on June 25th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the 4-H Auditorium on the Clay County Fairgrounds. Plan to bring your bunnies! RSVP at 262-2264. Beef Showmanship and Fitting Clinic June 9th from 10am to 11am at the Clay County Fairgrounds. This is a perfect time for 4-Hers to learn about fitting and showing their calves with an opportunity to watch others exhibit during the HMS/CCE FFA preview show. |
