The Innovation Project Takes Mentoring to
a Whole New Level on March 20th
Russell Simmons, music mogul and entrepreneur turned prepaid pioneer, and Rob Rosenblatt, RushCard CEO and uber payments innovator, will give 10 handpicked entrepreneurs feedback on what they're doing in real-time, on stage and right in front of you!

Innovators have a just few minutes to give the Simmons/Rosenblatt combo an overview of what they are doing - in a way that is entertaining, interesting and also informative. That's when Simmons and Rosenblatt take over, giving feedback in real-time on what they've just seen and heard. Simmons is known for his direct and authentic advice, and for making those who take his advice, successful. Rosenblatt has launched successful startups in and outside of some of the biggest companies in payments and knows what will and won't fly. So, we can't imagine a more interesting duo to provide feedback that blends street smarts and book smarts specifically around igniting innovation in payments, can you?

To kick it up a notch or two, we're also adding a little competitive flair into the session. After all of the presentations and discussions, Simmons and Rosenblatt are going pick their favorite who'll win a prize. What prize? Well, you'll have to just be there to find out, now won't you?

Featured Innovator: Pangea

Look for Chicago's Pangea to make some significant noise at The Innovation Project. By making money transfer more convenient, cost-effective, and secure for consumers, Pangea is disrupting the global money transfer space, one in which globally over 215 million people send more than $500 billion in money transfers annually.

Pangea's multi-platform offering includes web, mobile and retail connectivity as well as global prepaid networks that power the activation of prepaid products. Its proprietary integration software enables these disparate networks to speak to each other, making money transfer possible across millions of retail locations. Headquartered from Chicago's 1871 Project, Pangea is a product of The Impact Engine, a venture accelerator led by Chuck Templeton, the founder of Open Table.

The Ultimate Entrepreneur's Challenge features just ten of our forty hand-selected, bleeding-edge start-ups who will be on display as we transform Harvard's Science Center into the coolest demonstration of FinTech this year - The Innovators Showcase. Startups from both coasts and everywhere in between will be on-hand to give our delegates first-hand access to their disruptive technologies, all while competing for a cash grant from PYMNTS.com.

We've gone to great lengths to make Innovators Showcase different from anything else you've seen before. Gone are the elaborate booths, cliché freebies, and aggressive sales reps. Each of our hand-picked innovators will offer our delegates first-hand access to experience their products from our specially created exhibit pods as well as from a dedicated spot atop our prominently positioned product launch pad. The result is a level playing field where, ultimately, it will be the ideas that are measured, not the fit and finish of a company's marketing materials.
