Are You Ready For The Golden Globes Of Payments?
Every time PayPal enters a market, it changes the game. This is exactly why they were named "Most Disruptive Payments Player" at the 2012 Innovator Awards, edging out Google for the coveted title. PayPal's momentum is in high gear, recently shattering its Q4 $10 billion mobile predictions and forming partnerships with NCR, WorldPay, Discover and the U.K. government, just to name a few.

If you've got an innovative idea and want to make a name for yourself, there's no better venue than the 2013 Innovator Awards, and time is running out for you to get in the game. Don't believe us? Just ask PayPal's Don Kingsborough, a man who knows a thing or two about reinventing the payments space: "Don't delay! There are so many great innovations happening in the payments world today, and in such a competitive market, it's increasingly important to build awareness for, and get credit for, the great ideas and work that you're doing."

What advice does Kingsborough have to offer for those who have not yet signed up, and what will PayPal take away from The Innovation Project? Check it out here. And before it's too late, remember to submit your nomination! All entries are due by January 30th.

More From Our 2012 Innovator Award Winners
At the 2012 Innovator Awards, Braintree walked away as the payments player with the Best Technology, edging out ROAM, VoicePay and Stripe. In the following months, the payment processing giant raised $35 million from Accel Partners, New Enterprise Associates and others, doubling its total funding. What suggestions does Braintree have for innovators that have yet to enter their nomination? And how does mobile strategy play into its vision of the future?

XYverify may have won Most Invisible Payments Player at the 2012 Innovator Awards (surpassing Online Resources and Microbilt), but the last few months have proved anything but transparent for this cloud-based fraud prevention tool. PYMNTS.com recently caught up with the company's founder, Elliot Klein, who filled us in on how last year's award benefitted XYverify's business, what surprises the company has in store for this year's Innovation Project, and what must happen in the industry for innovations to take hold.
