Girder Delivery Postponed for US 24 Bridge Work

In order to complete creek work under the US 24 Bridge over Fountain Creek, girder delivery has been postponed until Wednesday, Feb. 24 and Thursday, Feb. 25 between 4 and 5 a.m. each day. Watch for pilot vehicles pacing traffic from southbound I-25 off-ramp to Cimarron Street/US 24.
The

girders will be erected as part of the beginning phase of construction for the US 24 bridge over Fountain Creek. This schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions.

Overnight Lane Closures for VMS Relocation

On Sunday, Feb. 21 from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., drivers will encounter double-lane closures along southbound and northbound I-25 between US 24/Cimarron Street and south Nevada Avenue/Tejon Street while crews on the Colorado Department of Transportation's (CDOT) I-25/Cimarron Interchange Design-Build Project erect sign structures for the relocation of variable messaging signs (VMS) to accommodate for the future alignment.

Safety Alert

Pay close attention when driving near the I-25/Cimarron Project. Slow down, observe speed limits and avoid distractions.

The following is a summary of upcoming project construction activity.

Construction schedules are subject to change based on weather/other unforeseen circumstances.

What Are The Project Goals?

Maximize overall safety, capacity and operation of the interchange and the surrounding transportation network within the Project budget;
Complete Project construction to be fully operational before December 1, 2017;
Minimize impacts and inconvenience to the community, motorists, businesses, downtown and the public during construction; and
Achieve an aesthetically pleasing design compatible with current and future amenities and enhancements in and around the interchange.
